The Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and the 欧宝体育 Faculty of Agriculture are proud to announce the Nova Scotia International Business Development Internship- Iceland.
The paid internship, funded by the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture, is a seven-month employment opportunity; an orientation month in the Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture would be followed by 6 months in the Trade Commission office in the Canadian Embassy in Reykjavik, Iceland. The internship is a competition between graduates from the 欧宝体育 Faculty of Agriculture and the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary鈥檚 University. Commencing in August 2015 (tentatively) the intern will perform activities such as:
路听听听听听听听听 Analyzing agri-food trade opportunities between Nova Scotia and Iceland,
路听听听听听听听听 Establishing linkages between Nova Scotia agri-food producers, Icelandic importers and government,
路听听听听听听听听 Participating in event planning and execution, and
路听听听听听听听听 Producing communications for the Trade Commissioner and Ambassador.
Essential qualifications for the position are:
1.听听听听听听 A Bachelor level degree in Agribusiness/ Agricultural Economics or International Food Business.
2.听听听听听听 Canadian citizenship or permanent residency (note, the successful intern will be required to undergo a security clearance).
Desirable skills for the position are:
1.听听听听听听 The ability to undertake outreach activities and build networks.
2.听听听听听听 Good communication skills and professional presentation.
3.听听听听听听 Research and analytical experience.
4.听听听听听听 Knowledge of the Nova Scotian agri-food sector.
Remuneration:
路听听听听听听听听 $CAD 2400 per month for seven months to cover living expenses, and
路听听听听听听听听 Paid return airfare to Reykjavik, Iceland.
路听听听听听听听听 Equivalency of domestic tuition for the Special Topics Course (4000 Level)
