Aquaaculture Technician
Woods Harbour, NS

Type: Full time, salary (40-45 hours/week)

Rate: $15 hour
Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in fish production related duties including the following

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Salt water quality monitoring as it pertains to fish health

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Feeding fish, preparing food for fish

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Cleaning tanks

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in the spawning of halibut

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in feeding lumpfish and cunner juveniles

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in general husbandry and daily care duties of lumpfish and cunner juveniles

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minor equipment and building maintenance

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Other fish or water system related duties

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Other duties related to the operation of a fish production facility

There is no minimum education required for this position.聽 Applicants with aquaculture experience and/or education will be given preference. Successful applicants must be physically fit, have a passion for animal care, and ability to work long hours in adverse weather conditions.
