Bienvenue - Welcome to the Department of French
The Department of French at 欧宝体育 is the only full-program department of its kind east of Ontario, with programs leading to a BA, MA, and PhD.
We offer a wide range of courses in聽language, literature, linguistics, culture补苍诲听civilization聽at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
The department has an impressive profile as an active and dynamic unit. It enjoys an international reputation thanks in great part to the quality of its聽faculty members, eminent teachers and scholars in their own right.
The diversity of course offerings, backgrounds and specializations of faculty members, the warm and student-friendly atmosphere, the competence of the administrative staff, the ideal classroom conditions (with an average of 30 students per first-year language class), the collegial upper level classes, the聽Cercle Fran莽ais, the聽Club Fran莽ais, the聽multiple learning opportunities provided by other academic units on campus, all combine to make studying in the Department of French at 欧宝体育 a uniquely exciting and enriching experience.
