Join the Office of Sustainability and Surfrider Å·±¦ÌåÓý for an Earth Day Cleanup on Tuesday, April 22, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. to help keep litter off our streets and out of the ocean. Open to all students, staff, and faculty, this event is an opportunity to take direct action for a cleaner, more sustainable campus and community.

Meeting Point: Å·±¦ÌåÓý Student Union Building (SUB)
Supplies Provided: Gloves, bags, and garbage grabbers
Collection Results: Waste audit at the SUB to assess what we’ve collected

We’ll be cleaning adjacent streets the day after municipal collection, when roadside litter is most prevalent. As Halifax is on a peninsula, waste breaking free from bags and roadside litter is at risk of entering storm drains, which lead directly to the ocean. By participating, you’ll help prevent pollution at its source.
